DIY Gripping Hangers

I've had this little idea stuck in my head for a few weeks after seeing it on pinterest. So i finally decided to give it a shot! I was so pleased  with the results.

What you'll need to make your Hanger grips:

  • new or used hangers
  • hot glue gun
  • 30 glue sticks for every 100 hangers
  • time- lots and lots of it, too!

before  i had to cross the straps over the hanger for it to stay on with out slipping

Now they stay on, and hey! i can actually see what the dress looks like!

okay so not only do those little strings/ribbons(whatever you want to call them) hang out of your top when your wearing them, but they help hang your clothes up.....yeah! and make them all WRINKLY :(

So the picture on the left is how the top used to fit on the hanger,     and that's at its best! The picture on the right is how the top fits on the hanger with the grips! Amazing, right?!
The way i saw on pinterest was to make squizzly lines while applying the glue, but i decided to try little dots. They work just as well, and are perfect for tanks!

UGH!!! those darn clear straps!

Here's where i put the hot glue for the strapless tops, maxi dresses, and pants!

not even half of the hangers... i thought i'd NEVER see the end!!!

The squiggly line  grips for the tops

FINALLY!!!!!! THE LAST HANGER!!!!!!! (:
(happy dance)
